I believe in the healing power of music. I am a musician who genuinely cares for others and her community and strives for excellence in everything that I do using creativity and a positive mentality

Dr. Campbell's Doctoral dissertation conducted interdisciplinary research between the areas of Music Education and Psychology. For her dissertation, she developed an application program and education protocol that works as a goal tracker (similar to Fitbit) titled, Maslow for Musicians, to help musicians work towards peak performance. As a result the study, a direct link was found between the impact of motivation and flow on perceived musical abilities, confidence, mindset, resilience, and performance output.

Dr. Campbell's specific field of research combines theories traditionally found within Sports Performance Psychology, a program formally titled as Music Performance Psychology, and studies the effects (both positive and negative) on the psychological, emotional, mental, and physiological functions of the musical performer. Focuses include the study of stress, behavior, resilience, mindset, motivation, flow, goal setting, confidence, the creation of alter-egos, and the importance of a support system and its impact on a performer. In addition to the strategies outlined above, an emphasis within this area of study includes the exploration of the psychological aspects

that contribute to the invention of art, creativity, and interpretation; the process of literally “getting into character,” and behavioral and motivational aspects (what makes the performer “tick” and why). With the creation of this program, her mission is to start unlocking the gateway to better music instruction and performance and help musicians at any stage of their career realize their greatest potential.

Her research has been presented at numerous national and international conferences such as American Psychological Association (APA) Annual Conference in San Francisco, CA, Western Psychological Association (WPA) Conference in Sacramento, CA, Colorado Music Educators Association (CMEA) Conference in Colorado Springs, CO, National Association for Music Education (NAfME) Biannual Conference in Atlanta, GA, and the International Congress of Psychology (ICP) Conference in Prague (2022).

Among the many achievements throughout her career, Dr. Campbell is also an award winning vocalist in both CHSSA and CMEA vocal jazz competitions, a founding member and participant for the University of Denver's A capella group, "Exit 205," a two year participant of the Metropolitan Opera Council Auditions, and performed around the world in countries such as Italy, Germany, France, and Spain. International performances include at the Vatican for the Holy Mass on St. Patrick’s Day during the Festival of Peace and Brotherhood in Rome, Italy, La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain, and the notorious Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, France.

Dr. Campbell is an experienced performer who has appeared in a variety of Opera (Carmen, The Magic Flute, Iolanthe, Suor Angelica, Faust, La Rondine, Cosi Fan Tutte, Turandot, Aida, Nabucco, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Ballad of Baby Doe), Musical Theater (Anything Goes, Little Women), Stage (A Christmas Carol, Inherit the Wind, To Kill a Mockingbird, Far Away, and Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead), and Film productions (Ink).
